Preparing to add another week’s ban in the Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu: A ban has been imposed in the Kathmandu Valley for the prevention and reduction of the Corona epidemic.

Meanwhile, preparations have been made to extend the ban for another week to 10 days in the Kathmandu Valley. Chief District Officers of all the three districts of Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur) are preparing to extend the ban for one week to 10 days.

Chief District Officer of the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli informed that preparations are being made to extend the ban in the Kathmandu Valley for another week to 10 days.

CDO Parajuli said that they have been changing the modality of the injunction considering the transit rate of the valley and if the injunction is lifted at once, they are aware that the corona epidemic will get out of control again.

Parajuli said that the ban should not be lifted immediately but that they have a plan to loosen the ban in stages. He said that they have been trying to manage the infection rate so that it does not spread again rather than tightening the ban recently.

According to him, the administration is now focusing on how to manage the new ban. A meeting of the CCMC on Wednesday had decided to change the format of the ban so that private and public vehicles could also run, administration officials said.
