During a regular press briefing held by the Ministry of Health and Population on Sunday, the number of active infected people across the country is 4,422, said spokesperson Jageshwor Gautam.
Of these, 3,242 are in institutional isolation and 1,179 in home isolation. According to the ministry, 259 people have been infected with corona in the last 24 hours.
A PCR test of 3,399 people showed that number was infected. Similarly, 543 people have been discharged today. Today, 126 people have been found infected in the Kathmandu Valley, including 9 in Bhaktapur, 18 in Lalitpur and 99 in Kathmandu.
Of the 24,792 PCR tests performed since last Wednesday, 1,963 have been confirmed. In the same period, 2,775 people were discharged and 28 died, said spokesperson Gautam.
