Kathmandu: Youths staged a spontaneous demonstration at Maitighar on Wednesday demanding reduction of rising air pollution in the capital.
They came to the streets carrying various placards and demonstrated while sleeping on the streets.
They have demanded that the action plan passed by the cabinet in January last year should be implemented and Nepal should be made a pollution-free country.
Concerned that Kathmandu Valley has become the number one polluted city in the world, the younger generation of Kathmandu has automatically taken to the streets to draw the attention of the government.
